# Authentication

Modules for registration and login of users.

Authentication modules provide registration and login functionality for users of your applications.

Basic functions for managing users, groups, registration, and authorization are provided by the default [Auth](/docs/modules/module/authentication/auth.md) module. It also adds a standard registration form to your applications. 

In order to expand the functionality, in particular the ability to enter and register through social networks, use additional modules.

**Sign-up Settings**

The Auth module manages all registration settings. If registration is disabled, then social sign-in modules will also not be able to register new users.
